"Yeah, just a bit..." she admitted ruefully. Could she help it if he was a very distracting person?! "I promise you can put your hands back as soon as I'm done!" Because it was nice and she liked the feel of his palm on her hips!

For now though...for now, it was time to wrestle with the damn button and fly of his jeans and slide her hands over his ass to start working them down his hips. Yes, there were probably more effective ways to strip the man but she had a fascination with getting her hands on his rear!

He had no objections to her methods.

His pulse quickened, and he watched her as she stripped him. For a moment a bout of self consciousness hit him, part because, well she was about to see him naked, and part because she could now plainly see the ugly scar on his belly left from Grant.

It passed though, as he knew she wasn't likely to care about scars, and all of her actions and that expression of hers went a long way to reassure him she liked what she was seeing.

So he let her work, and waited for the time when he could get his hands on her again, and take his turn getting her ready for the bath.

Scars were simply a part of life! She had her own share of them and he'd see those in time! Besides, scars meant he'd lived, and she much preferred feeling up a living guy!

Much preferred.

Dead guys weren't big on conversation after all.

Not that she was talking much. Her lips were busy on his chest, tongue playing over his ribs as her kept working his pants down. They started falling of their own accord when they hit his knees so she called it good and played fingers up his inner thighs.

Bath? Yeah, they'd get there eventually.

Yes, not to mention doing this sort of thing with a dead guy is probably taboo in multiple universes, not just this one.

When his pants hit the floor he raised his legs on shaky knees to step out of them, then kicked them to the side. His hands returned to her hips, transmitting the shudder that rose through him as her fingertips danced along his skin.

"If we weren't both so beat up I might say we should skip the bath."

"And do what instead?" she drawled teasingly. "A bath will do both our bruises good..." though what came after was entirely up in the air?

"You've got all of today off right? We have some time to kill and I've got a few ideas..."

He gave her a wicked smirk in reply, then squeezed her hips.

"I do. I guess we should see about gettin' you ready for the tub, then."

"Ooooo, I like that look. Keep it on," she grinned and stood on tiptoe to kiss him. "And if you like. I wouldn't mind a hand at all."

"Well sure, s'only fair after you were nice enough t'help me with mine," he drawled, smirk going no where.

His hands smoothed along her sides and back down again, and his fingertips hooked into the hem of her shirt.

With the slow slide of fabric, he lifted her shirt up.

She chuckled warmly and held her hands up for him and that lifting shirt showed...dark purple marks that were her version of scars and a newer, brighter blotch against her side. The bruising was about a ten inches in length, something had caught her good and hard but still!

He lifted the shirt up and off, getting a good look at her, and frowning at what he saw.

"Jesus, darlin'."

Discarding the shirt, he reached for her and gently grazed her skin below the bruising with this thumb.

"You sure you're alright?"

Granted, some of her scars looked like they'd been much worse than the bruising she had now, but there wasn't anything to be done about those.

She shivered slightly as he touched below the bruising, but nodded regardless. "I ache Bill, and it hurts to lift my arm or move much of my side, but I've had worse." Far worse.

At leas the wound from when he'd found her was a nice, tattoo-like line?

"Heat will be good for me, and some nice, low impact exercise." She said 'exercise' with a cheerful leer and ran fingers down his back, because, well, she could!

His frown eased into a soft smile, and he trailed his touch lower, glancing fingertips over her belly, on down to her waistline.

"I guess we outta get you into that bath, then."

See, now, she really, really liked this new 'allowed to touch' thing. She liked that Bill wanted to, and was willing to, touch her. It made her laugh a little as he played fingers on her belly; not ticklish but just that damn nice. "Mmm, yeah, guess so. Sure you can handle sharing your wonderful tub with me?"

Granted she didn't think the sharing bit was going to be a problem. Splashing maybe, but not the sharing! And it was her turn to lay hands on his hips and trace thumbs along those wonderful curves as she waited!

"Long as you don't hog as much space as y'did on the bed," he teased.

He liked having her hands on him just as much. Bending, he pressed a kiss to her cheek, then moved his lips lower to her neck and then her shoulder. Fingertips teasing along her waist, they moved slow and careful until he was able to start easing down her pants.

It didn't take too far past her waist for the clothing to slip free, and he let them fall to the floor.

"We both seemed to manage just fine!" she mock-huffed. "But if it's that big a problem I'll just have to avoid sleeping in your bed again..." Completely empty threat that. Yep. She'd be there as often as she was invited!

She couldn't help but twitch her hips to aid the fall of her pants, and she swayed forward to lean on him in order to kick them off each leg. There, all nice and ready for a bath...

...

...the problem now was actually getting there. "Hmmm, walk me backward?"

"That wasn't a complaint, it was just a... " It was hard to finish a sentence when she was such a distraction. He pulled back to take her in, eyes roving up then down. "Uh, observation."

Smiling, he rested his forehead against hers and complied with the request. Walking her backwards, he let his hands slide up and down her sides, mindful of the bruising, and around for a feel of her backside.

She actually posed a little for him, amused at the once over. Yes, she was rather pink everywhere. She was still damn attractive and she knew it! "Observation huh? Okay, maybe I won't get huffy about the bed thing then."

The back of her calves struck side of the tub and she laughed, sitting down on the edge. Yes, this made his hands slide up but that was alright it put her in range to press a kiss to his hip.

It was definitely her attractiveness more than the pink that was getting his appreciation.

When she sat down he smoothed his hands up, moving his palms over her skin to cup the sides of her breasts along the way to her shoulders as she sat.

The action ratcheted the temperature of his blood up another few degrees, and the kiss to his hip made his pulse quicken as well.

"That mean you'll be spendin' the night again sometime?"

Hey, pink could be parts of her attractiveness for some!

"As long as there's an invitation," she laughed and shivered cheerfully before licking a slow line along the spot she'd kissed. "Don't go where I'm not wanted." Though she was kind of sure of her invitation at this particular juncture.

"Gonna get in the tub or just sit and stare?"

It was! He totally liked the pink thing.

"Oh, I definitely want you." And those words made him blush some, but most of the heat in his features was from her actions.

With a quirked smile, he gave her shoulders a light squeeze.

"Alright, I'm goin'."

He moved around her to slip into the water. The heat made his skin prickle and tingle, and he let out a slow sigh as he settled, then held his hand out to her.

"Comin'?"

Imagine...he said that without alcohol in him! She rather liked hearing it! "Good, I'd be miffed if you didn't."

She waited until he was settled before sliding gently into the tub herself. The hand was appreciated, it helped ensure she didn't fall in so much as settle across hi lap, feet still hanging out of the tub but hey, her bruise ended up under water. "Mmmm, always have to love hot water." Modern plumbing was always welcome!

Always!

"And now we're naked, and wet, and at each other's mercy..." she teased happily.

Yes, sober confessions held so much more weight than drunken ones, and he totally meant what he said (and actually meant it when he was drunk, too, but now she could truly believe him).

The feel of her skin sliding against his was a rather nice one, and it pretty obvious how much he was liking this.

Letting her get settled, he rested his arms on the rim of the tub.

"Comfy?"

Smirking in reply to her teasing, he traced his fingers along one of her arms.

"Think I'm more at yours than you are mine." She was rather easily wrapping him around her little finger like this.

"Yes, very comfortable if you must know," she smirked and leaned her head on his shoulder, relaxing.

"You really want to be at my mercy? I was going for a balance of power thing but..." but since it apparently amused him, well, time to nibble his neck (it was there in easy reach after all).

"Good."

He rested his shoulders against the back of the tub, and let his chin tilt to give her more access. Yes, he was quite content like this.

"Mmmm... You make the whole mercy thing sound pretty good." And feel good, too.

"Well, I do try to be good at things I do..." she chuckled against the skin of his throat and took her sweet time nibbling and tasting from the point of his chin to the dip of his collarbone.

"Want to put a time limit on the 'at my mercy' bit or you good with my choice?"
