The morning after

Clarice was a heavy sleeper, when she wasn't having nightmares. It came of never knowing when she'd get a good night's sleep again. Still, she was not a still sleeper. That meant she rolled and twisted some in the night; her frozen peas slipping down between herself and Bill some time around three in the morining.

And well, she shifted where her head was resting too. Next to his on the pillow, his shoulde,r his chest. It was probably past dawn when she settled with her head on his belly, still asleep.

"The way t'any man's heart is through his stomach," he informed her sagely.

Bending to tuck his chin on her shoulder, he made a show of mulling it over.

"Hmm... yep. Just talked to my gut, an' we want sugar."

"MMmm, convince me?" she teased, swaying side to side slightly since she could. "After all the powdered sugar is waaaaay over there and I don't think it's worth my while to move."

"My heart ain't worth your while?" he teased, swaying with her.

Pressing closer against her back, he trailed his fingertips up to tease her belly, and turned to kiss her neck.

"What if I asked real nicely?"

"I expect to work just a bit harder to earn your heart lover," just saying! "Shortcuts are never worth it in the end!" And what if she ended up leaving? Did he really want to give her his heart in full?

The hands and lips were a bit convincing though, in that 'really didn't want to move now' kind of way. "Tell you what Bill, you keep doing that and I'll head toward the sugar." Yep.

He was still blissfully ignoring the possibility (or rather, probability) that she was going anywhere.

"Alright," he agreed easily, bringing his hand up to brush the underside of her breast. "I'll head that way with you."

Yeah, she would probably keep reminding him because...she didn't like leaving people in a lurch. She hadn't been found by the Timebroker yet but...she might. She might.

She arched back against him slightly, enjoying the petting, and set the French toast pan aside. That way there wouldn't be burning going on while she wended toward the powdered sugar. Just for him she put a bit more sashay in her hips instead of her normal, deliberate step. "I like a man who can keep up..." she teased lightly.

He chuckled warmly, moving with her.

"'Long as we ain't runnin' or kung-fu fightin', I can keep up just fine."

"I should run later tonight..." she mused. "Since I didn't run this morning." But she wouldn't insist he come!

Hah! Powdered sugar achieved! Time to wend back toward the stove! "But until then you have my undivided attention."

"Lots of ways t'get your excercise, why run?"

He smirked, and kissed her cheek.

Making the trek back to the stove, he went back to grazing fingers over her belly, with the occasional slide against her breast, and tease lower on her waist.

He watched her cook, giving an, "Mmmm... powdered sugar."

"To build up endurance again," she offered blandly, followed by a pleased little gasp as the petting commenced. "It's important, and don't want to wear the sheriff away to nothing in other exercises..." fun as it could be!

There, his toast was done, set on a plate, liberally sprinkled and...balanced in one hand as she turned around to kiss him soundly.

"Sound like you're ampin' up for a marathon." He grinned, and chuckled about being worn away. "Y'know, for someone afraid of soundin' like a sex fiend, you kinda sound like one."

He smirked, and gave into the kiss, taking advantage of her being turned around to press up against her chest to chest.

Kissing trumped talking! At least until the kiss ended! She stayed pressed against him a matter of course, free hand lacing around his back. "Oh, I never said I wasn't, I'm a healthy girl who enjoys her fun! I just don't think you want the rest of the town saying I am and you're just a toy." Just a theory though.

"Granted, if you don't mind we can totally go make out in public..." She smirked and nipped his chin before slowly walking him backward to the table.

"Oh, is that what's it's all about?" He didn't stop grinning, and walked backwards under her guidance.

"That depends, you still gonna be naked? Because that might be a scandal I'm not so sure I wanna mess with. Too much paperwork."

"Fun? Yes, that's what it's all about." She grinned and pushed him down on a chair before straddling his lap. "Now, should I leave you to eat?"

He'd been so intent on her he hadn't realized how close to the table they were, and sat abruptly when pushed.

Now here was a very real crisis, on one hand warm plate of sugary breakfast goodness, but on the other, sexy naked woman on his lap. His libido and hunger warred with each other, and finally his stomach rumbled and ended the battle.

Sort of.

"I'd like t'try it with you here, but wouldn't wanna get any syrup or sugar on you." Maybe they could come back to this spot after?

She chuckled and did her damnedest to make it a difficult decision. This meant nibbling from his earlobe to his neck while he was debating! Had to make sure he didn't forget her while he was eating after all...

"Yeah, hate to get all sticky again after a bath. Terrible idea." She slid slowly from his lap and went to fetch her own plate.

She did make it hard! He even reached out and grabbed her hand as she was getting up to leave, giving her fingers a squeeze before reluctantly letting go.

"Wouldn't want your hard work t'go to waste by lettin' it get cold, either," he pointed out.

She gave him a sweet, sweet smile when he caught her hand. It was very touching really. "And yeah, there is that too. For the good of all involved I just will hold off for a bit."

She'd even sit down across the table from him!

He missed her closeness, but having her sit across from him meant he could look over at her and give her smiles.

Tucking into his breakfast, he 'Mmm'ed in approval.

"Good breakfast."

Sitting across from her also meant she could run her toes up and down his leg as she ate!

While smiling innocently and eating her own meal of course. "I try. Have to make up for the junk we ate last night with something vaguely healthy right?"

His smile quirked into a grin when he felt her touch on his leg.

Chuckling, he forked up another piece of toast.

"Sugar counts as healthy?"

"I added the sugar to yours under duress!" She waved her fork at him cheerfully and ate her own, sugarless, French toast. "There was some incredible pressure to bend to your whim on that..." Yep, she was sticking to that story!

"But under the sugar it's healthier."

"With the sugar it's delicious." He grinned. Healthy, shmealthy.

"Let's me know I can get away with stuff now, though."

"Oh, is that a challenge?" she asked, arching an eyebrow at him. "Should I be aware you're going to try to get away with things? Should I resist?" Or just be highly, highly amused?

"Careful lover, think over your answer well. If you try to push things too hard I may start trying to drag you running with me, and I won't start out easy."

"What? I didn't say that," he replied, with as much innocence as he could.

"'Course I'm not gonna be tryin' to get away with nothin', I'm a nice guy, remember?"

Polishing off his eggs, he worked on the last few bites of his toast.

"Besides, I know what you could do t'me if I did." Forced running would only be a start.
