Bill looked over the group of deputies and nodded, proud. They were a good bunch, and he hoped like hell he could get them all through this alive this time.
"That's right. We all swore an' oath to protect the folks in this town an' we're gonna do just that. We all also know what an asshole Grant was, so ain't no tears shed puttin' him down." He gave them a smirk, knowing Grant didn't leave any friends behind when he bit it the first time, arrogant jackass that he was.
"Splittin' up is definitely a dumb idea, so we go together. You boys have had my back since high school when I was pitchin' footballs to you. We might've gotten clobbered then, but we ain't gonna tonight. Tonight we take care of business, we do our job an' we get our town back."
Dropping the duffel bag he'd brought, he gave it a nod, "That's everything I could grab from the station. Load up, s'gonna be a long night."
