The morning after

Clarice was a heavy sleeper, when she wasn't having nightmares. It came of never knowing when she'd get a good night's sleep again. Still, she was not a still sleeper. That meant she rolled and twisted some in the night; her frozen peas slipping down between herself and Bill some time around three in the morining.

And well, she shifted where her head was resting too. Next to his on the pillow, his shoulde,r his chest. It was probably past dawn when she settled with her head on his belly, still asleep.

He returned her smile, feeling good about all of this.

"That may be true, but I sure as hell ain't complainin' 'bout the sex now."

Maybe they'd save the make-up sex for a special occasion.

Feeling good was about what they were aiming for truth told.

That and a hell of a lot of fun on the way!

"Mmm, well you do know how to flatter don't you?" Her smile slid into a smirk and she lifted her arms above her head in a lithe stretch. It pleased her that her shoulder barely pulled at all when she did so, ah, but her shoulder wouldn't be of interest to Bill now would it?

No, his attention was definitely focused a bit lower.

She was very flexible, and well, with her towel only covering her waist it meant a nice view for Bill. Which meant his head was tilted slightly and he'd forgotten that they were having a conversation, and so didn't say anything.

Frankly there wasn't a girl out there that wouldn't appreciate being found so very...distracting. The look on his face went miles for her ego all told.

"Biiiilllllll..." she drawled after her stretch. Ah, hell, she'd lost him truly hadn't she? There was nothing for it but to stand up slowly and lean across the table to kiss him. "You spaced on me babe."

He blinked when he heard his name, then closed his eyes with the kiss.

Looking at her again, he grinned.

"Did I? I was distracted."

"Easily distracted my man," she noted against his lips before grinning. "I'll take it as a compliment?" Hopefully that was how it was meant?

"It is. Me starin' is my sayin' you're pretty damn sexy."

"Awww, I bet you say that to all the girls sitting half naked in your kitchen," she teased lightly, though her cheeks and the tips of her ears were a slightly darker pink than normal!

"I do," he admitted, pleased to see that for once he'd made her blush.

"But, seein' as t'how you're the only half-naked girl this kitchen has seen, it's still a compliment."

"Really? You don't bring the others home?" she laughed and reached across the table to take his hand. "Carefully, I'm going to get a swelled head!"

He gave her his hand and smiled.

"A couple, maybe, but don't recall anyone makin' me breakfast topless."

Which obviously put her above the rest.

She drew his hand back across the table with her and started tracing fingertips along his palm! "Well, I've got a better angle in the dating game then?" she teased. "I just kind of find it pointless to put a shirt back on when I'm hoping to tackle you again today!"

"You sure do."

He watched her fingers graze his open hand, and smiled.

"An' I can't argue at all with that logic there."

"Well, it does all work out better if you're not fighting!" she admitted with a grin. "Then I'd have to have clothes on and such."

He laughed at that, sitting up in his chair to lean forward against the table.

"You wouldn't fight me naked?"

She chuckled and pulled his hand closer since he'd given himself the room! "Well, if you were fighting me on the naked in the kitchen or tackling parts it'd mean one of two things. One, well, you really weren't that into me and the tub was a once off. Two, there's some social norms around here I'm seriously violating and I'm upsetting you..." she could over think things sometimes?

"Play fighting then? I could so that naked. Easy."

His smile softened, and he gave a short headshake.

"I'm really hopin' this ain't a once off. I was just pokin' fun about the fightin' naked."

"Prrrrrroooobably wouldn't have my feet on your lap if we were a once off." She grinned and teased toes along his thigh again. "We could fight naked if you like, long as it's in fun."

"Nah, I think there's better things t'be doin' naked than fightin'," he laughed, her touch making his smile wide.

His laugh caught on a yawn, and he covered his mouth bashfully.

"Hm, like naps." Naked naps are the best.

"We've barely been up a...few hours?" She chuckled and stretched again. Yawning was kryptonite! It was!

"Still, napping does have it's appeal."

"Yeah, but how late was it before we got home?" They'd had a late night, and quite the adventure.

"'Course, I'm open to suggestions if you ain't feelin' sleepy yet."

"i think I could be convinced of just about anything if you put your mind to it," she countered easily. "Even to putting off dishes."

"Darlin', dishes are the last thing on my mind."

"Prove it," she teased.

"Well c'mere, then." He closed his hand around hers, and gave it a light tug to get her to come around the table to his side.
